Conference Tournament Results: March 12th

Two more Conference Champions were crowned on Wednesday with Portland State winning the Big Sky and Mount Saint Marys' winning the Northeast Conference. Sadly, I was betrayed by Robert Morris University. The Colonials were the #1 seed in the Northeast Conference and went into the tournament riding a 13 game winning streak. They were on their way to the school's first NCAA Tournament since 1992. But alas, it just wasn't meant to be. At least I got the Portland State pick correct, so today wasn't a complete wash.

Northeast Conference:

  • Actual Champion: Mount Saint Mary's (3rd NCAA appearance, first since 1999)
  • My Predicted Champion: Robert Morris (lost in semifinals to Mount St. Mary's)
  • Bracket Winning Percentage: 57.1% (4 of 7 games correct)
  • Overall Bracket Winning Percentage: 75.5% (77 of 102 games correct)
  • Overall Predicted Champion Winning Percentage: 50% (6 of 12 correct)

Big Sky Conference:

  • Actual Champion: Portland State (1st ever NCAA appearance)
  • My Predicted Champion: Portland State
  • Bracket Winning Percentage: 80% (4 of 5 games correct)
  • Overall Bracket Winning Percentage: 75.7% (81 of 107 games correct)
  • Overall Predicted Champion Winning Percentage: 53.8% (7 of 13 games correct)
